Today just before 2pm I'm driving back from White Rock along 24th Avenue. When I'm going this route I turn left onto 176th Street and take that back into Cloverdale.
The speed limit on 24th is 60km. I'm driving between 60 and 65. In my rear view mirror I see a white pick up truck flying along the road. It catches up to me and is riding my ass. It keeps swerving into the other lane trying to pass but there is a steady stream of west bound traffic. It wouldn't do much good to pass me. I'm a safe following distance from the car in front of me, about 5 or 6 car lengths distance. We're both travelling the same speed. The impatient truck would only be able to pass me and still be stuck behind a car traveling around the speed limit. I mean really. How fast does this guy want us to be driving in a 60km zone?
At 176th I have my turn indicator on to go left back to Cloverdale. The white truck has enough room to illegally pass me on the right and roars off to catch up with the rest of the cars in front of me - about 6 cars.
I can see the advertising on the truck: Flynn. And their website http://www.flynn.ca/
Oh oh. Brings back memories. Here's another post I wrote about the bad drivers giving Flynn bad advertising.
Clearly the only qualification for getting a job at Flynn is you must be a bad driver. Flynn doesn't give a rip about the name and website plastered all over their truck and the bad advertising their dangerous drivers give them.
Amazing.
Makes you wonder what kind of a job they'll do on your roof.
