Honeybee Festival this weekend July 23 & 24 2011

I was driving past the Honeybee Centre on the northeast corner of 176th Street and Fraser Highway and noticed the sign says they've having a honeybee festival this weekend Saturday and Sunday July 23 & 24 2011. From 10am to 4pm

I'm not sure exactly what the festival includes. I checked their web page and got this link.

There still isn't a whole lot of infomation other than photos of honeybee festivals from previous years. People with bee beards, tasting honey, and someone bbq'ing what appears to be smokies. It has a link to click for their poster but seeing as how they didn't update it from 2010 it shows the dates and events for 2010. Not exactly helpful for 2011!

It says free fun and entertainment so it might be worth stopping in if you're in the area. I buy my honey here. Love the cranberry and raspberry honeys!

What's happening in Cloverdale in July 2010

Well July looks to be a relatively quiet month in Cloverdale. Perhaps due to all the energy surrounding the Canada Day festivities the town has to spend a month resting up.

The horse racing season has ended until October 1 but the Fraser Downs Casino is open.

July 1, Thursday - 11am to 11pm - Canada Day at the Cloverdale Millenium Park may or may not be the place to be. Expecting crowds of around 100,000. For more info on the day long festivities, see their web site. http://www.canadaday.surrey.ca

July 24 to 25, Saturday and Sunday - 10am to 4pm - Honeybee Festival, including live entertainment and an artisan's market, held at the Honeybee Centre at Fry's Corner, that would be the northeast corner of 176th Street and the Fraser Highway. So far that's all I can see happening around Cloverdale. Will update if I see any flyers show up on the store windows.

What's happening in Cloverdale in July 2009?

There's not too much happening around Cloverdale this July now that the big event of the Canada Day celebration has passed.

There are a couple of sporting events at the Cloverdale Athletic Park but those are usually only of interest if there is a family member participating.

A little out of town and of interest to railway buffs is the Sullivan Station open house on July 19 from noon till 4pm. On the corner of 152 Street and 64th Avenue. For more information, see their website http://www.fvhrs.org/
